  1. Hi Guys, The Fallbrook car show is worth attending, IMO. Attended it two years ago and had a good time. It's located on a green golf course, has a beer/wine tent, good music (if you can stand c-w), and lots of cars to look at. Obviously, I'm attending. As in years past, proceeds support youth organizations, senior and civic organizations, and military groups. There is NO same day registration and registration sells out every year early, so if you intend to participate, don't delay. Steve PS--see below -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Registration for show cars is now open for the 2019 Fallbrook Vintage Car Show. Registration is limited to the first 450 cars and every year we sell out weeks before the car show, so don’t procrastinate if you would like to enter your car (currently 400 cars have registered) Save the date. This is the 54th annual Fallbrook Vintage Car show and will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2019 (Memorial Day weekend). Once again it will be on the grass at the beautiful Pala Mesa Resort located at 2001 Old Highway 395 in Fallbrook. The entry fee is only $35 and is open to vehicles made in 1992 and older. There is NO REGISTRATION THE DAY OF THE EVENT. To register, go to https://fallbrookvintagecarclub.org/carshow/ and click on "Register a Car." If you view your "basket," you can pay via paypal. There will be more swap meet vendors and more food vendors. And we have added a special area for automotive-related products and services called Restoration Road.

The full fledged car show we usually do this year will instead be a "lite" and casual version. There will be no t-shirts, no trophies, no entry forms, no car show fee. This year the plan is to show up starting around 10:00 am and stay until you're ready to leave or the event breaks up. Pizza will be ordered for lunch and there will be a donation bucket if you want to toss a few bucks in. The details: Date: Saturday, May 11, 2019 Location: Pegasus Hobbies (parking lot in back next to freeway) Address: 5515 Moreno St, Montclair, CA 9176 Time: 10:00 am to 3:00 ish. This location is next door to the site where we had our show in 2016, 2015, and 2014. Map to Pegasus Hobbies https://goo.gl/maps/y5yxPZweXHL2 I can't guarantee it but there's a very good chance Victoria Vetri, the 1968 Playmate of the Year and original owner of the pink AMX, will be in attendance. It will be her first AMC car show ever. She will love to meet everyone who attends the show. Autographs anyone? A photo with your car?

  4. http://www.hotrod.com/articles/hot-rods-and-in-n-outs-70th-birthday-with-drag-racing-at-pomona/ That’s right, in 1948, two Southern California icons, In-N-Out Burger and HOT ROD Magazine, opened for business within 25 miles of one another. In the decades since, the companies have something of a shared history – the same classic street rods and muscle cars from the pages of HOT ROD could often be found cruising at the nearest In-N-Out. Come join us in celebrating 70 years of burgers and burnouts on November 17th at the Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, CA. It will be an all-day party at the drag strip with In-N-Out Burger Cookout Trailers, prizes, and one of the rarest track-days you’ll ever find as the hallowed lanes of Pomona will be open! https://www.facebook.com/events/2139260729638695/ Come join us at the Automobile Driving Museum for our first ORPHAN CAR SHOW! Acme, Auburn, Briscoe, Bantam, Cole, and Chandler are just a few of the A B C’s of notable cars considered “orphaned” in America’s automotive history. Figures differ, but most historians agree that about 2,000 or more makes of cars and trucks flashed onto the scene, only to eclipse and fade into memory. In other words, there are far more makes of cars that had been made than are being made today, even worldwide. What you may call an “orphaned” car is up for discussion, but here we would like it to be open to interpretation and invite you to join us for a fun-filled day showcasing your automobile for hobbyists and spectators alike! 10am-2pm $15 car registration
