I ordered my 1973 AMC Javelin AMX in early April '73 and received delivery in late June of '73. I received three inquiries from the factory on the order to confirm my specifications--most concern was that I ordered the vehicle with no power steering.

My order specified: 1973 Javelin AMX pkg; 401cid engine, 4bbl carb, t-10 4speed with Hurst comp shifter, cowl induction hood with operable air cleaner floppy lid to suck more air on acceleration, air dam/front chin spoiler, rear air spoiler, "go package" with full instrumentation, am-fm stereo, and Pierre Cardin designer interior pkg. D-7 Trans Am red with blacked out front and rear light panels, and a "T" hood stripe/graphix. No air conditioning and no power steering, only muscle.
